Volunteer

  • Fancy being a volunteer?

We're always on the look out for people to help out.  Click on each heading to find out more.

  • Why would I want to volunteer?

We rely on volunteers - it's what makes the shop special and appealing to visitors and gives the volunteers a great opportunity for a chat.

We also could not open the hours we do without volunteers.

  • Would I need training?

Working on the till requires a few hours training but that is done by one of the old hands and support is always available when you at last 'go solo'.

If you decide the till is not for you there are lots of other opportunities to contribute that require no training.

    • We are always on the look out for window dressers - the windows are changed regularly by volunteers to reflect national, local and seasonal events with eye catching displays.
    • If you drive, we need drivers to deliver orders in the neighbourhood.
    • Shopaholic, a trip to the wholesalers for us perhaps.
    • Finally give some of your spare time to make sure the shelves always look well stocked and tidy.
  • What would I have to commit to?

We ask for a few hours on a fairly regular basis. That could be weekly, or fortnightly.  Of course you want to go on holiday (who doesn't) but because we operate as a team we swap around. Don't feel tied down.

  • How do I volunteer?

Can we tempt you? We hope we can. Please contact us by email  volunteer@winstervillageshop.com

Give us your contact details and we'll be in touch.
